First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Redwood Trust.
Cybersecurity Intern
The interview will be about 1 hour long. They will ask about your work experiences and tell you about their job roles and work culture. It's an easy-going interview. Four people will be on the call and each will ask their own questions.
- Can you describe your past work experiences?
Intern
The interview process felt very friendly, with a focus more on whether I'd be a good culture fit than on tangible skills. There were only a few quantitative questions; most of it was informal discussion about the kind of person I am. Each interview was about 30 minutes long, and there were two of them.
- What do you seek in this role?
Investment Analyst
It was introductory and the interviewer asked me behavioral questions, such as to expand more on my resume. They didn't reach back out to me with more details on their full time or internship though, so that is a bit unprofessional.
- Can you walk me through your resume?
Business Development Associate
It started with an informal informational interview where I met with different department leaders. At the time, there wasn't a position available. About six months later, I had my first round interview, which was a roundtable with the Business Development Team. They asked standard interview questions. They seemed to care about character as much as, if not more than, experience. Knowing the industry was a big plus, but not a requirement.
- In what ways can your background contribute to your success in this position?
