First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Redwood Credit Union.
VP Human Resources
I talked to the recruiter and the SVP. They were both nice. The interviews plus prep took about 4 hours. I had to change my schedule for a second round on short notice. They both said I'd hear back in a week, but it's been a month with no word. It's a bummer because this company seems good for employees, but they didn't follow through. As someone in talent acquisition, I think candidates, hired or not, should be treated respectfully.
- Tell me about your leadership style.
- Describe your approach to managing a function.
Market Analytics Analyst
The first interview round was pretty straightforward. They mainly asked about my past experience and probed into my salary expectations, and also asked if I had any questions regarding the position.
- Can you share your background with me?
- What are you looking to make salary-wise?
- Do you have any questions for us about the job?
Salesforce Administrator
So, it was a pretty typical, slow interview process, you know, like you'd expect from a big bank. It had a bunch of steps. First, I talked to the recruiter, then the hiring manager, then the team, and finally the department head. This job's been open for ages, like 5 months. They said they weren't going to hire anyone from the current applicants and would restart the whole search. I mean, I get that they told me, which is better than being ghosted, but leaving a job open for that long is just wild. It wastes everyone's time - mine, the interviewers', and the company's because they're short-handed for so long.
- Can you walk me through your Salesforce experience?
Marketing Specialist
I had a Zoom interview with the recruiter, which was pretty thorough for a first chat. Then I had an interview with the Hiring Manager and Marketing Manager, which went really well and felt aligned. My final interview with the VP of Marketing was also good, and I was excited about the potential opportunity. I had mentioned wanting to work out of the Santa Rosa office throughout. After the final interview, they said my offer was being processed and pending Santa Rosa approvals. But when I got the offer, it was for Napa, and they wouldn't budge, even though the recruiter hinted it might be flexible. I really wanted to work for RCU, but since the location was fixed, I couldn't accept.
- What about RCU attracts you?
- How do you approach cross-departmental collaboration?
- What's your preferred method for leading projects or campaigns?
