I applied online, and after about a week, a recruiter reached out. They sent me some extra questions about my skills and experience to fill out. A few days later, I heard back and was invited for an in-person interview with the hiring team. I ended up talking to three senior members of the information team in a panel.

It was pretty straightforward! I had a short chat with HR and then a branch manager. They just asked some basic things to get a feel for who I am and how I work. I'd definitely suggest this place to others.

The hiring manager reached out about a month after my application submission to schedule an interview. The initial phone interview went well, and he then proposed a second interview where I would need to deliver a 20-minute presentation on a data science topic of my choice. I dedicated about 8 hours to preparing my presentation and getting ready for the hour-long group interview. The technical questions were quite challenging, but I felt I did really well on the presentation and the questions related to banking. At the end of the interview, the hiring manager indicated I'd know about moving forward within a week or two. However, just two days post-interview, I got an automated rejection email. It was really unprofessional of HR, especially after nearly 2 hours of interviews and 8 hours of unpaid work on a project. HR should have at least sent an email from a real recruiter or, even better, a courtesy call. But knowing how unprofessional their HR department is from past experience, I can't say I'm surprised, though it did leave a bad impression and made for a poor candidate experience.

Behavioral Technical

The hiring process included an initial HR screening, followed by a conversation with the IT Management staff who would be overseeing the role. The HR and IT staff interviews were conducted separately. This provided a clear understanding of the work environment. The interviews were direct in outlining the company's needs and expected competition. While the IT manager was engaging, the HR representative was notably reserved. I was expecting a follow-up call from HR regarding my application status, but it never came.
