This whole thing took over 6 weeks, with a recruiter in the middle, and they kept feeding the recruiter BS about contacting me when they totally didn't. I had to send proof to the recruiter! They told the recruiter they were moving me forward two days before Christmas, but I heard nothing for three weeks, and then it was last minute, the day before they wanted to interview, so no time to prep after work, thinking they had ghosted me. During the interviews, they'd say I'd meet with someone specific, but a different person would show up. One round was a panel, which I think is useless. One person on the panel didn't even show up and they didn't care. Only one person asked questions while the other just stared, making it super awkward and making me more nervous. It felt like an intimidation tactic. The questions were so general, and then they told the recruiter I had 'no substance' which was rude and out of context since I had to carry the whole conversation, especially when they were so serious and scowling. They said I don't have a 'C-suite presence' even though my clients are Fortune 500s who are way bigger than their clients. This just shows how uncomfortable they made the interview. Their leadership seems to have an ego and think they're better than everyone, which is not how I want to work. Leaders should be humble, not intentionally make people uncomfortable. We're in the business of making people comfortable enough to give us money, and they should practice that internally too. Also, nobody responded to my thank you emails, not even to reject me. That's just bad manners, especially in the South. After 6 weeks of rearranging client meetings and working through lunches, to not even be able to reject me directly, and have the recruiter do it (who agreed with me!), is unprofessional and insulting. If this is how they interview, they did me a favor by showing their true colors. They also made me take a personality test, so why waste my time and drag things out just to say horrible things instead of giving constructive feedback? They wanted to record all interviews but wouldn't share them with me or the recruiter. So disappointed I wasted my time and the recruiter's time on a company that can't recognize talent and isn't kind when it's not a fit. Probably the worst interview experience in 10 years.

RedRover is really strategic about finding people who fit into the company well. The entire process is well structured. First, I applied online. Then, I took the online culture test. From there, I got a call from talent acquisition for a screening phone call. Once I was deemed a good potential fit for the company, my future manager set up a phone interview with me. Shortly after the initial phone interview, I met her in person for another interview round. For the next round, I was asked to present a marketing campaign in front of a panel with questions at the end. I was also asked to complete a marketing assessment regarding marketing strategy, design elements and client relations. The last interview round was with the CEO. I got an offer the following Monday.

So I went through a bunch of interviews for about 7-8 weeks, from mid-Feb to early April. It felt kinda unorganized and the communication wasn't great. There was this long timed assessment, like a few hours, with puzzles and abstract problems that didn't seem to relate to the actual job. It was weird because they later mentioned it as a reason for their decision, even though they'd previously said I was a good fit. The final decision seemed to come down to one person's opinion, and the feedback was super vague, not really tied to anything specific or what the job needed. After putting in so much time, it felt unprofessional and disrespectful not to get clear, helpful feedback or follow-up. Honestly, candidates are judging the company too. This whole experience made me question their whole setup, how consistent things were, and their leadership style.

So after I applied, they first had me schedule a phone chat with HR. It was meant to be a quick intro chat, around 20 mins, and it was. They asked me some questions, and if they thought I was a good fit, they said I'd hear back in a few days to come in for an in-person interview.
