This was one of the strangest interviews I've ever had. After the phone screen, I had a video call with the hiring manager. The manager spent almost the entire interview talking about why they love the company and their experience there. They didn't ask me any skill-testing questions, questions about my past work experience, or anything. They just went on and on about it and then asked if I had any questions. I got an automated email afterward that was clearly not customized, with placeholder text in the signature. Maybe I didn't seem engaged enough?

I submitted an application online. Didn't hear back for a while, but then I got contacted for a technical interview on Skype. It was pretty standard, they asked about what I'm interested in and my background, and then gave me a coding problem. I wrote the code in a Google doc, and after that we talked about the time complexity and some test cases.

I first met with a recruiter on campus, and after that, I got a call back for an hour-long phone interview. We set it up four days after we first met. The interviewer was really nice and asked a lot about my interests. It was a good chat overall.
