Field Service Representative
I had a super chill meeting at a local McDonalds with the Area Supervisor and another service tech. They treated me to lunch and we just talked about Redbox as a company and what the job is all about. I got to ask my own questions and even share some ideas with the supervisor based on my past experiences using Redbox. It was a really easy and simple process overall. I guess having a friend who was the current service tech and was moving to become an area supervisor also helped.

Financial Analyst
I applied online and heard back from a recruiter a few weeks later. She was super nice and clear about the job and salary. She asked standard questions like 'Walk me through your resume,' 'What do you know about us?', 'Why are you making a move?', and 'What are you looking for?'. Things went well, and she mentioned they were moving fast and wanted me to talk to the hiring manager. I scheduled a call for the next day, but they never called or emailed. It was really rude of the hiring manager to no-show. I guess the company culture doesn't value candidates' time. Glad I didn't waste more time on them. I'd tell others to think twice before applying to Redbox.

Accounting/Finance
The interview process was unorganized, giving the impression the company lacks structure. It began with a recruiter call that was 15 minutes late. The subsequent interviewer struggled with English, requiring repeated questions, which may have negatively impacted my perceived understanding. I was told a hiring manager phone screen would happen a week later, but received no communication, only company-related emails. Despite asking questions via email to the recruiter, there was no response. After several weeks of silence, I inquired about the status and again received no reply. Five weeks post-initial call, I was informed they chose another candidate. Feedback was requested but never provided. Based on other experiences, Redbox appears to be slow-moving, with below-average pay for its size and stock options that have little value.

Project Manager, Strategy
I was contacted by a Redbox recruiter and had an initial 30-minute phone call where I was asked to apply online, which seemed strange since I already had. The recruiter asked about my school, indicating she hadn't reviewed my resume or application. I also submitted a presentation of my work. Following that, I had another phone interview with the hiring manager. She explained the role, asked about my experience, and I felt one of my answers didn't land well, making it hard to recover over the phone, and I would have preferred an in-person meeting. Despite this, she seemed pleasantly surprised by some of my answers, which was odd since they were already in my submitted materials. I thought my experience in project management and market research aligned well with the role, and I deserved an in-person interview after the second phone screen, but my unprepared response impacted my performance. There were two phone interviews, and the next step was a panel interview. It seems crucial to perform exceptionally well in the phone interviews to advance. I was a bit bothered that neither the recruiter nor the hiring manager seemed to have thoroughly reviewed my submitted materials, especially after I put in the extra effort to create a presentation.
- Can you describe your daily organizational methods?
- Tell me about a time you acted entrepreneurially.
