It was more involved than I'm used to from past retail jobs. I had an initial phone screening, then a phone interview, and finally an in-person interview with a manager.

Behavioral Technical Other

I applied on Snagajob.com and the manager called me within a week. I went in and filled out a form with my basic info, education, and work experience. Then he asked me some questions about my schedule, how much I like working with people (on a scale of 1-10), and how much I like feet (on a scale of 1-10). He also asked why I want to work at Red Wings Shoes and what I know about shoes. He then asked about felony convictions. After that, I had to do some skills tasks. He explained stocking and marking, then I had to find five shoes in the stockroom, one hidden, one missing, one mislabeled, and the rest in place. Then I had to stock two boxes of shoes myself, one with the aisle marked, and one where I had to check style numbers. He asked how confident I was that I presented myself well. A customer came in, so I shadowed him while he checked them out. Finally, he asked what I could tell him that I hadn't already mentioned that would make him hire me.

Confirmed questions1 question
  • What can you tell me right now that you have not mentioned in your resume or earlier in this interview that would make me hire you?
