The interview process included a virtual meeting with the hiring manager, a project to test web development and editing skills, and an in-person panel interview. They were very open about the process. I heard back about a month or two after applying. The whole thing took longer than I've seen elsewhere, but maybe that's normal for higher education places.

After you submit your application, they'll reach out to schedule an in-person interview. You'll get some questions beforehand that you can fill out. Then, you'll go into a room with about 6-7 people, and they'll ask you questions from that paper. A few days later, they'll contact you again if they want to do another in-person interview.

Behavioral

The interview was good. Unlike some non-profits or higher education places that expect you to be obsessed with the organization even if you've never worked there, Red Rocks didn't have that issue. However, their communication was lacking. They give you boilerplate language about hearing back, but then ghost you on follow-ups, just like other unprofessional interviewers. HR eventually sends a form email way too long after you were ghosted.

The hiring process for an adjunct instructor at Red Rocks Community College is pretty straightforward. Colleges care a lot about your credentials, and I appreciate their thoroughness in checking my academic history. The questions were asked during a teaching demonstration where I taught a lesson in front of the chair of my department, the academic dean, and a few other faculty members. This experience reassured me that they are serious about the education they provide.
