Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Red Hat.
Project Manager
The interview process was fair. It involved 3 rounds in total, starting with a recruiter screening. After the screening, there were two more rounds, both of which were panel interviews. The first panel was with the hiring manager and a peer at the same level, and the final panel included multiple directors.
- How do you ensure client/customer satisfaction upon project completion?
Project Manager Intern
You could apply for 3 internships at once since they had numerous internship positions open. First, you got a call from an HR employee. Then you were invited to a real interview that was conducted online with 2 employees, one of them being the manager of the team. After that you waited 2 weeks for the results. If you weren't selected, you could apply for other internships that remained free or just ask for the reason why they chose another candidate.

Project Manager
I've interviewed a few times with RedHat. The recruiter was unresponsive to my calls and emails for over a month and a half. After 3 months of ghosting, I got an email saying the position was put on hold. This year, I was recommended for and applied for another PM job and was contacted by the same recruiter. Received a form letter asking for my availability the week before the 4th of July holiday. Interview was scheduled and manager passed me to the final round over a month later. After the final round, the recruiter ghosted again. My internal contact gave me the info to send thank yous and I've tried reaching out. I was never able to pin down a salary range or a timeframe for response. Ghosting candidates like this is unprofessional. I've spoken with others who have had this same experience.
- The interview questions were fairly standard.
