Product Manager
Saw a posting on LinkedIn, didn't apply at first. Saw it again a month later and applied. Recruiter reached out for a phone call about my background. Had the phone screen the next day, which covered my background and company history. Recruiter then wanted me to interview with the team. The interview was scheduled a few days later and I met mostly with engineering managers. The interview focused on my past processes and steps with specific examples, no behavioral or situational questions. No follow up, so I asked the recruiter for an update. Was ghosted. The posting reappeared online a few weeks later. This company is small and should be more organized. Seems like a disconnect between what they want and what they ask. Networking with industry contacts might help.
- Can you describe the AT&T Certification process?
Engineer
Applied online and then got contacted on LinkedIn. After a few emails, there was a phone call. I was turned down for a callback a few months later for another interview. When I asked about pay, I was brushed off. They told me I would do everything, including 'sweeping the floor so long as it paid the same.' They also said I would be working weekends, and that location was basically part of my compensation. They also mentioned that there are 'no job titles.' I felt very demeaned during the interview and like I would be very undervalued and overworked. I take far more pride in my work and ability than what they offered.
- Tell me about a time when business needs required you to release a product that didn't work as intended and how you handled it.
Marketing Manager
I had a phone screening with the recruiter and then was asked to go in for a series of interviews. I ended up meeting with the hiring manager and someone from HR. After that, I was asked to come back a few days later for a second interview. This time I would meet with the hiring manager and a group from marketing. I felt really good meeting with the hiring manager both times. In meeting with the group from marketing, I felt critiqued and on edge. This group of women appeared nice but seemed very catty. I didn't have a good feeling when I left. I was told the 3rd stage of the interview would take place in a few days and that would be with the hiring manager's boss. Within the next couple of days, I noticed the job was reposted, this time with a different title. I emailed the recruiter and she went dark. After reaching out the following week to the hiring manager, the recruiter finally replied to me and said they were going with a different candidate.
- What is your motivation for seeking employment at RED Digital?
Director
I interviewed with Red and had a great experience. I met with several leaders on the team and got to really understand the culture, priorities, and opportunities. I got feedback a few days after my first interview and they kept me informed about their hiring process regularly. After meeting with a few people and HR, I felt certain that this would be a good place to work. HR also gave me an integration plan to make sure my transition and onboarding went smoothly.
- Can you provide an example of a project you finished despite an ambiguous situation? Describe your handling and approach.
