Project Manager
I had a great interview experience with Red Bull Media House. The whole process was super clear and organized. I liked how open they were about each step and what they were looking for. The interviewers were professional and really friendly, making it easy to chat. They made sure the criteria were clear, and I felt my time and experience were valued. Just a really positive and people-focused process.

Communications Manager
I had previously applied to another position where I reached the final round, but they selected another candidate. I wanted to stay in touch because I liked their interview process. About 2 months later, they contacted me about a Senior Manager opening. I spoke with HR, and they were very enthusiastic. I was upfront that another company was also moving quickly, but Red Bull was my top choice. After speaking with the team director, I sent thank you notes. Despite being told I'd get an update the following week, I never heard back. The other company made me an offer, which I would have declined for Red Bull if they had shown interest. I informed Red Bull, reiterating they were my first choice and I was prepared to decline the other offer. They were unresponsive for days, then finally stated they had no decision or timeline and advised me to take the other job. I asked for feedback on what changed but received no reply. It was a very disappointing experience, especially considering their previous thorough process. I feel this hiring approach reflects how they treat their employees.
- Tell me about your management approach.
- How would you handle media relations?
- What are your interests outside of work?
Social Media Manager
Applied, and a couple days later got a link to take their Wingfinder personality test, which I finished within the 4-day deadline. About a month later, an automated email came through for a HireVue video interview with 8 or 9 questions. It's been almost a month since then with no feedback or updates, and then I saw the job reposted. Still waiting to hear back. Kinda disappointing from a big brand, and it was weird not talking to a real person at all.
- Can you tell me why you are interested in this position?
- Describe a time when a video you created achieved viral status.
- What do you see as the primary social media challenge for Red Bull?
Video Producer
I just did this HireVue video interview thing and it was pretty annoying. You only get one shot to record each answer and it all gets saved. I hate being recorded, especially when they keep the footage, but I had to do it or get rejected. There were four questions, and you only had two minutes for each. That's not enough time to explain stuff like your experience or why you're a good fit, which could take like five minutes. Even worse, two of the questions seemed totally random. Like, one asked if I'm a gamer and to share my nerdiest gaming moment or biggest achievement. It's hard to see how that helps pick someone for a job, especially since the person watching probably doesn't game and might not get it.
