Behavioral Technical

This was THE absolute worst interview experience I have ever dealt with. Avoid this place at all cost. I was 4 interviews deep with the company before they laid off the recruiter and hiring manager. I was never even formally rejected. This place is an absolute dumpster fire of an organization and they strung me along for months and months. It won't be long before they fold completely.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

I was first contacted by a recruiter on LinkedIn, then had a 20 min phone call with them. After that, I had a 30 min call with a Product Analyst. The final stage was a virtual on-site with people from different teams like Analytics and Risk/Compliance. It included two 1:1s and a panel interview with 4 people. The reason I found this interview experience negative is because for the panel interview, the recruiter told me I'd need to talk about a project I'm working on and suggested making slides. I prepared slides the night before, but the actual panel interview was totally different, with more general behavioral/analytics questions and nothing about the project, which caught me off guard.

System Design Behavioral Technical

This was honestly the best interview experience I've had with a tech company. The interview actually felt relevant to the job description, which was refreshing since a lot of companies just test your ability to memorize leet code algorithms. There were only 3 rounds total, spread over about 3 weeks, and it all took about 4 hours, which was really nice compared to other companies that make you go through like 7-8 rounds with interviews that take all day.

  • Can you discuss high-level system design?
  • What are your opinions on certain relevant best practices?
  • Explain why you chose to write code a certain way and if it could be improved.

Recruiter reached out via LinkedIn. Then, there was a 1-hour technical screen with a senior engineer. After that, a 2-hour final interview where I had to present a project I was proud of and answer questions about it. Also got some technical and behavioral questions. Finally, met with the CTO to discuss the company.
