There were a few rounds for one of the clients. The first round was a technical round checking basic Javascript concepts like hoisting, async, and setTimeout. They gave a code snippet to determine the output with a reason, so you need a solid grasp of Javascript. The second round also involved coding, specifically implementing a debounce polyfill and a Todo List. The third round was with the hiring manager, where they delved into past projects and asked behavioral questions related to them.

The interviewer was super nice and introduced himself first. We then dove into problem-solving with some LeetCode questions. It felt more like a collaborative discussion where he'd listen to my ideas and give feedback before I coded. He asked three easy to medium LeetCode problems. After that, we moved on to an HTML/CSS challenge: styling a circle within a square, inside a rectangle, with all elements centered both horizontally and vertically. He also asked about Higher-Order Components (HOCs) in React and how to implement them. It was a really positive experience, more of a back-and-forth conversation than a typical Q&A. He even gave me feedback at the end.

Confirmed questions3 questions
  • Could you solve some easy to medium LeetCode problems?
  • How would you implement a circle inside a square, inside a rectangle, all centered horizontally and vertically?
  • Can you explain and implement React Higher-Order Components (HOCs)?

The interview process was really bad. First, they sent me an assignment that I completed in my own time while working my current job. After a few days, I had a technical interview which I passed. I followed up with the recruiter about the next steps, and she promised a callback soon. A week later, I had to ask again, and she mentioned she was busy and needed to speak with her manager. Another week passed, and I finally received an email stating I wasn't selected. If a company isn't serious about hiring, they shouldn't employ unprofessional recruiters who waste candidates' time. It was a pathetic experience and says a lot about the company and its management.

Confirmed questions2 questions
  • The first round involved an assessment with MCQ questions and two DS questions relevant to a frontend role.
  • They asked some basic JavaScript questions, like Closures, Settimeout, Callback queue, and Event loop, as well as some React questions.
