I first spoke with someone from Staffing who asked me some basic background questions. Then I went onsite for an interview with the RSS Supervisor, where I was asked behavioral questions and questions about my lived experience. It was a very positive discussion.

HR recruiter messaged me through the job board I applied through within 1 day of applying and scheduled a 5 minute call to discuss the position and provide the salary range. Then we scheduled an interview with the regional quality lead and VP of quality for the following week. The interview was pretty standard: discussed the role in more depth and asked questions pertaining to my experience with healthcare compliance and other relevant experience. After the interview, it took about 1 week to receive an email letting me know they did not want to move forward with me.

Confirmed questions2 questions
  • Can you describe your experience with healthcare quality improvement, compliance, and incident reporting?
  • What drives your passion for working with this particular patient population?

I went through about two to three interview rounds. The interviewers were from both the business and IT departments. It felt pretty straightforward and the people I met were welcoming and professional. I later found out the teams and employees are great, but the senior leadership seemed to lack a clear strategy.

I applied online and got a call the same day for a phone interview on Thursday, 1/10/19. After that, I was invited for an in-person interview on Friday, 1/11/19, at 12:30 pm. Before the in-person, I had to do a DSC assessment from Tony Robbins' website and leave a scripted message over the phone. I got emails with a list of potential managers and then one from the director saying he'd interview me. When I got there, the receptionist couldn't find the director, and the HR person stepped in, realizing the director wasn't even in the office. Eventually, HR found two guys from the inbound call center to interview me. It wasn't great; one guy was a new hire (only a week in) and the other seemed unenthusiastic. They weren't prepared and just used my resume. The first guy asked about my past work, computer systems, and education. The second just asked why I wanted the job. The interview was super short, like 15-20 minutes, which felt like a bad sign. Today, HR called to say I didn't get the job, sounding disappointed. I told them that's great news and wished them a good day, glad I didn't get it after reading bad company reviews.
