First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Rebecca Minkoff.
Intern
It was a pretty straightforward interview process. Started with a phone call, then an in-person interview. They didn't cover travel expenses, which was a bummer for us interns. The workspace was really nice, and they gave out cool accessories. As an intern, there wasn't a ton to really report on regarding the job itself. I ended up working there for about a month and even got to attend fashion week, which was a highlight.

- Can you tell me about your current field of study?
Product Development Intern
The interview lasted about 30 minutes and focused on behavioral and personality aspects rather than technical skills. They'll inquire about your background, aspirations, and both strong and weak points. Remember to prepare a question to ask them at the end.
- Can you introduce yourself?
- What would you say are your biggest strengths?
- And what about your weaknesses?
Public Relations Intern
This was the worst and most unprofessional interview experience I've ever had. The interviewer was completely unprepared and uninterested in anything I had to say, making me feel like a nuisance the entire time. It's a shame because I was really excited about the opportunity at Rebecca Minkoff and loved the office. I just wanted to intern there, but the interviewer's attitude completely turned me off. I don't know if she was tired or unhappy at work, but professionalism is important in interviews, even for internships, because we're still human.
- What aspects of Rebecca Minkoff appeal to you?
Account Operations Manager
I first got contacted by a staffing agency for this role. Then I met with two women who work closely with the position. It was kind of weird because they took me to a diner to have the interview since there was no space at the office. The interview itself went pretty well, we talked about my work history and work ethic. They asked about specific situations I've encountered or might encounter. It seemed to go okay, and I thought I connected with the interviewers. One of them mentioned her boss was a 'psycho' and 'crazy' but said she would 'protect me' from her. This was a big red flag for me. After the interview, they said they were finishing with someone else and would get back to me in about a week. I never heard back. The staffing agency had to follow up twice before the company finally responded, saying they hired another candidate. Honestly, I feel like I dodged a bullet, I wouldn't want to work somewhere with a 'psycho' boss.
- How would you approach a situation where a coworker works at a different pace than you?
