The interview process was pretty standard. I spoke with one of the founders for about an hour, and it seemed to be going well. The founder mentioned twice that they wouldn't ghost me or any candidates because that's not how they operate. While I thought it was a little strange they emphasized it twice, I appreciated them taking the time to assure me I'd hear back. However, after the interview, I never heard from them again. I get not wanting to move forward with someone and even ghosting, but it's not cool to promise you'll get back to a candidate, especially twice, and then not follow through.

Since I was referred, the process was probably quicker than for others. I spoke with a product leader, a principal engineer, one of the CEOs, the project manager, and then the product leader again, all over video. The whole thing from start to offer took about a week.

The interview process was weird. It felt like my potential manager was trying to trip me up the whole time. They used strange "training" tactics to give feedback. Red flags were the loud music and people using headphones to hear phone calls, and the "hawking" method where they'd listen in on calls and make you say exactly what they wanted. The CEO is the type of tech bro who says "females." Seems like a churn-and-burn place where people leave after a few months.

The hiring process was super organized. It kicked off with a call with Pierce, then a personality assessment, followed by another interview with the sales director and manager. Everything flowed really smoothly. It felt like a good way to see if the role would actually be a good fit for me overall. It was more like a two-way chat than an interrogation.
