This interview process was quite fast, taking only two weeks from the first interview to the offer. They were quick to respond and initiative. The HR team was helpful and guided me through the entire process.
- Can you discuss your previous work experience?
- What motivates your interest in a consulting role?
- Could you share details about your personal projects?
Senior Software Engineer
I applied online. A recruiter contacted me for a 30-minute call. Then, I had a 1.5-hour 'Attitude' interview with behavioral questions. After that, a 2.5-hour technical interview with two interviewers. On Friday, the recruiter emailed about moving forward, and we had a call to discuss salary and preferences. She mentioned verbal approval and an upcoming offer. Two hours later, she called back stating a misunderstanding and that the decision wasn't final as the interviewers were on vacation for 20 working days. I waited, no contact. I emailed, no reply. After 5 more days, she called again, informing me they weren't hiring due to lack of projects and preference for existing employees. This was a bad experience due to the long interviews and unprofessional recruiter communication.
- What are your basic Python skills?
- Can you tell me about your experience with React?
- Do you have any design-based questions?
Software Engineer
3 step interview process, it was very easy. I got an offer right away. During the call to discuss the offer, start dates, etc. which is standard, the Head of People started to bully me. They seemed inexperienced in hiring and negotiating with experienced talent. They wanted me to apologize to her, which was very unprofessional. I refused to apologize or support her discriminatory behavior. The offer was rescinded the next day. Her behavior showed she wasn't aligned with the hiring team or leadership on the new role's budget. Leadership should address this behavior to prevent discrimination lawsuits in North America.
- Were there any conversational technical questions asked? No coderpad was used.
