First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at ReadyTalk.
Account Manager
It's a pretty long process, but it's worth it to make sure you're a good fit. Here's how it goes: First, you'll fill out an application and do some testing. Then, a recruiter will give you a call. After that, you'll interview with the department director at their office. Then you'll talk to some department managers. Next up, you'll meet with people who would be your co-workers. Finally, there's a cultural interview with people from different departments to see who you are and if you'd fit in. This whole thing doesn't happen in one day or even one week; it usually takes a couple of months, maybe even longer.
- Who would be your dinner guest, living or deceased?
Engineer
It was a very thorough interview process and explains why such great employees are at ReadyTalk. They took the time to do things right. I had three group interviews: talents, technical and cultural. I was able to talk to many different people in engineering. I never felt rushed or out of place. The entire process felt very personable compared to other interviews.
- How would others describe you?
Channel Marketing Manager
After I sent in my resume, I had to do this long online test that covered personality and skills. Then, a recruiter emailed me and we had a phone chat. After that, the recruiter scheduled me for an in-person interview at their Lodo office. There, I met with the hiring manager and the HR manager for something they called a "talent" interview. The next week, the recruiter who first contacted me let me know I didn't make it to the second round (they called it the "fit" interview) because, apparently, I was too qualified for the job.
- What motivates you to come to work each day?
Software Engineer
A recruiter reached out on LinkedIn and we set up an initial phone interview, which went fine. After that, they had me complete a questionnaire asking for my opinions on various technologies and my past experiences with them. They wanted a lot of detail, but I couldn't dedicate hours to it. They also asked about side projects, but since I'm in school and working full-time, I don't have any. I enjoy technology, but it seems like they don't value work-life balance or family, so this might be a good fit for recent grads who are single.
