I had an initial phone screening and then three virtual interviews with HR leadership. Things seemed to go well, and they mentioned hiring quickly, liking my healthcare experience. The last interviewer hinted at a possible fourth interview with the VP. While four interviews felt like a lot, I was still interested. I followed up via email since I hadn't heard back. The recruiter's communication was poor, giving a vague response about internal decisions, which left me unsure if it was about the process overall or just me. I felt this was handled unprofessionally, especially considering the time I invested and took off from my current job. I would have preferred a clear answer, positive or negative. It felt like a waste of my time.

The hiring process involved three distinct interviews. It began with an initial conversation with HR, followed by an interview with the fulltime supervisor, and concluded with an interview with the manager for the specific position. Although it spanned a few weeks, the experience was smooth and the interviewers were pleasant. An offer was extended about a day after the final interview.

Presentation Technical Behavioral Case

The interview process, like at some other startups, felt a bit extensive. For the final round, they gave me a detailed, multi-part assignment with 4 deliverables and a presentation, due just 3 business days later. It seemed to assume I'd have access to paid software, though I managed with what I had. The final interview involved a panel of VPs and Senior Directors. While they were generally reasonable, they expected me to know more about the company's internal workings than I, as an external candidate, realistically could. One VP's dismissive reaction to my response was also unprofessional. I think the assignment was too much for the timeframe, especially given my limited company knowledge. Companies should be clearer about whether these assignments are for actual work to avoid IP theft. Also, interviewers need to stay respectful; candidates are also evaluating the company and taking time away from other commitments.

Confirmed questions1 question
  • The final assignment included 2 flowcharts, a project management plan, and a presentation deck for a mock client. We presented these at the beginning of the interview. The interviewers asked detailed questions about the assignments, our method for completing them, and our knowledge of partnerships and implementations for large programs.

Applied online, got a call within a week to set up a phone interview. Had a good phone screen with someone from talent. I talked about my recruiting coordination experience, interest in the company, and how I've added value in past roles. Next week, I got an email saying I wasn't shortlisted. Later, I saw the job was filled by someone without any recruiting experience, which was upsetting and made me wonder about potential bias.
