Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at RBA.
Consultant
Got referred by someone who works here. First met the recruiter at a coffee shop, and it was mostly about seeing if I was a good cultural fit. They asked questions like, 'How would you react if a client was non responsive or aggressive?'. The second interview was with a consultant, and it was about my technical skills, like what tech I know and my experience, plus some questions about the process and what I'd deliver in the role. Third interview was with management, felt more formal, and they asked some tough scenario-based questions to check cultural fit. The final step was a call from the recruiter with a verbal offer. Tried to negotiate salary but didn't work out. The whole thing took about 3 weeks. They were pretty flexible on meeting places, and it felt like a really thorough and open process.
- Can you detail your experience using SharePoint?
- Describe your response to a client who is unresponsive or aggressive.
- What motivates you to pursue a career as a consultant?
Consultant
The interview process took way too long and is designed to wear you out. Promises made at the beginning are discarded before an offer is even made. Lots of happy hours and hang outs with the team in an effort to win you over with their culture (coworkers were good people) but then the offer came in $20k less than I was lured in by. Strong armed during the end of the process and was just exhausted by their lack of organization and professionalism. I accepted their offer because the process had dragged on long enough that my current employer figured out I was interviewing and I feared I'd have no job if I didn't accept.
- Can you tell me about your skill set?
Consultant
It was a pretty straightforward process considering there were fewer than five people working in Dallas at the time.
- Are you prepared to join a startup that has neither an office nor any customers yet?
