Behavioral Case Presentation

Applied for the role, had an initial HR call, then my interview was scheduled. It got rescheduled a few times because the interviewer wasn't available. The actual interview was a mess. The interviewer had bad internet and the call kept cutting out. He asked about my past projects but wasn't clear about what he wanted to know, even when I asked. He seemed distracted. During the case study, he seemed to have one specific way he wanted me to solve it and didn't consider other ideas. It felt like we weren't on the same page. The whole interview felt like a waste of time and disorganized. I got the vibe the interviewer wasn't happy at Razorpay, which might explain it. Honestly, I'm glad I didn't move forward because the process made me doubt the work environment.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

So, first up was a 1-hour tele meeting with a senior product manager. It was split into three parts: talking about my product experience, a problem-solving segment, and then time for my questions. If that went well, the next step was a face-to-face meeting at the Razorpay office in Bangalore. They also mentioned an assignment would be given, which needed to be presented there. Once at the office, it was like 5 rounds back-to-back interviews with different people – the senior product manager, other product managers, the engineering head, HR, and so on. It was super hectic, and I had to repeat my intro like 5 times. I got pretty tired and felt like I couldn't think straight for the problem statements. Each interviewer had their own take on the candidate's experience, which is fine, but I don't think they really have a structured interview process. Having so many rounds suggests they can't assess a candidate properly in fewer interviews plus an assignment.

Case Behavioral Technical

Sreesha from LinkedIn reached out to me and took the time to brief me about the company and the position. I was quite impressed with the thoroughness of her information, which helped in convincing me. I first had a telephonic conversation, followed by a case study that led to face-to-face interviews. The F2F interviews were quite smooth and enjoyable. I found everyone I met to be interesting in their own way. Overall, I was very pleased with the interview discussions and how the HR handled everything.
