The interview process started with a phone screening, followed by a personality test, a cognitive function test, and finally a skills test through TestDome. I'm not sure about the accuracy of some of the questions on TestDome. Rawlings Group uses pair-programming in their development environment. I typically ask a question about how the company is working to improve its culture and/or environment, and they said it was perfect. I've seen some bad reviews for this company.

The interview process was pretty quick, about 2 weeks from the first interview to the offer. I did some research before my on-site interview and found some really negative articles about the company culture, calling it a 'white collar sweatshop'. I talked to the recruiter about this, and they were really open and answered all my questions. They explained that reputation is for a different part of the business and the IT side is basically separate. I decided to go to the on-site to see if that made me feel better. It didn't. For example, the company says Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion is important, but the people in my panel interview didn't even know what DE&I was and said they don't have any initiatives for it. The panel interviewers were nice and easy to talk to, though. The salary offer was what I wanted, but the benefits were so bad that my total compensation didn't really increase. (18 PTO days, 6 holidays, bad 401k match, no bonuses for IT, no guaranteed raises, etc.) All this, plus my worries about work-life balance and company culture, made me turn down the offer.

I met with a group of people from the department I'd be joining, and the VP of IT was there too. They asked a bunch of standard questions and told me about the company. The VP was really nice but asked some really tough questions. I later realized I messed up one answer, but he was cool about it and didn't make me feel bad. After the interview part, they showed me around the facility - it's pretty big, over 1000 people work there. I saw lots of cubicles, not many actual offices, maybe they're on another floor. After that, I went for a drug screening and did some paperwork for a background check. I heard back in less than a week and got the job.

So the hiring process started off alright, you were kept in the loop about where you stood. When I went in for the in-person interview, it was fine. You shadow someone, take a typing test, do the actual interview, and then chat with someone fresh out of training. After that, they do a background check and a drug test. But this is where HR totally messed up and wouldn't reply. I was told I'd hear back in a week or two, but I had to call a week later because I still hadn't heard anything. This company really doesn't care about potential employees and will ghost you if you don't get picked.
