First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Ravago.
Administrative
Got set up by a temp agency, first waited a long time for the initial chat, then had three talks in total, but the interviewer was changed last minute twice. It ended up being an awkward vibe where it was clear there wasn't real interest, and the reason given later was vague and didn't make sense. Especially since it was clear from my qualifications and experience beforehand.
- Why are you applying to this company?
Operations Coordinator
The interview process involved 2 rounds, with 3 people interviewing me in each round. Some of the questions were typical, while others were a bit unusual. The interviewers seemed like regular employees who might not have had extensive interview experience. In the second interview, all the interviewers were late to show up.
- What would you do if you had a billion dollars?
Research and Development Intern
I had a phone call with HR, and then a Teams interview with senior engineers and managers. It was a really good experience overall, the team was super friendly and easy to talk to, making it feel really welcoming. Even though it was a bit intense with 6-7 managers and engineers all at once, they were really respectful and supportive. The questions they asked were good, and I liked how approachable everyone stayed. They also gave me some helpful feedback which made me feel like they were really listening and cared. All in all, it was a really well-run and positive interview.
- Can you tell me about your experience in the lab?
- What kind of equipment do you know how to use?
Shipping Supervisor
I think this might have been my first experience with age discrimination. I had a meeting with Ms Becky Shrock, the Human Resource Manager, and who I assumed was the Plant Manager, though it wasn't made clear. I gave them both an updated copy of my Resume. We had a little small talk about my Military background. The mood in the room seemed to change. Ms. Shrock asked a few general questions and then asked if I had any. I asked two questions and got very brief answers. The Plant Manager didn't say a word the entire time, and the whole thing lasted less than twenty minutes. Then she just said 'I have no more questions' and stood up to shake my hand. I'm fifty-one, my hair's been white for years, my work history is solid with no breaks, and I have all the experience they said they needed. The agency seemed happy I'd fit, but it was quick and abrupt. I barely said anything besides answering a few questions, and they didn't really go into my qualifications. I felt really offended by how they acted and started getting nervous and losing my confidence.
- Can you tell me about how you got your experience in supervision?
