First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Rausch Sturm.
Attorney
This interview was pretty chill, and the questions were really focused on the job itself. They asked for a salary range, so make sure you're ready to sell yourself and your skills with concise info. It's a quick interview because it's so focused, they don't waste time on fluff. Have industry averages ready to back up any requests you make.

Human Resources Manager
First there was a phone screen with a recruiter, then a face to face interview with both the recruiting and hiring manager. They used behavioral questions in both rounds. When I got to the face to face interview, the recruiter was 30 minutes late. After waiting for weeks and calling a few times, I stopped trying to hear back from them about the job. It was unprofessional, and I expected some kind of reply. I never heard back. I guess I didn't get the job. But it would have been nice to be thanked for my time and interest. If they treat candidates like this, I can't imagine how they treat employees.
- After being greeted, I was asked to take a Wonderlic cognitive test, which was fine, but they used an illegal photocopy of the test, which was unexpected for a law firm.
Legal Assistant
The interview process began with a phone screening, followed by a Zoom interview. After that, there was a quick and informal follow-up phone call. Overall, the questions were straightforward, primarily focusing on my background and resume, and my motivation for the position. There were very few, if any, situational questions.
- What sparks your interest in the legal field?
Collections Specialist
It was a quick process overall. They are very nice and asked me the usual interview questions. I did 2 rounds of interviews - phone screening and then one with the hiring manager. Nothing too hard.
- Can you tell me about your weaknesses and strongest skills?
- What is your availability?
