First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Raritan Valley Community College.
Social Media Manager
The interviewer was really nice and made me feel comfortable, which was great because I was a bit nervous at first. The questions they asked were pretty straightforward and related to what I've done and what I know, so I felt like I could really show what I'm capable of. I haven't heard back yet about the final decision, but the whole thing felt positive and I'm hopeful.
- Can you describe your background in social media?
Administrative Assistant
Overall the interview was pleasant. We mostly chatted about my resume, and the interviewer asked a few questions about specific points on it. The interviewer seemed to be looking for someone with a positive attitude and good interaction skills. They also wanted to know about my schedule flexibility due to varying weekly hours.
- Do you have good technical skills?
Manager
I went through two rounds of interviews. The first one was with a committee of about 4 people, and then the second one was with my direct boss. Everyone on the panel asked questions one by one.
- Can you tell me what you understand about Project Management?
- What's your definition of student success?
- Describe a significant accomplishment of yours.
Director

- How large was the staff you managed, and what was that experience like?
- I hope I will be able to blend into the background and people will not ask to many personal questions.
