First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Rare Carat.
Operations Associate
I had a remote opportunity. The HR told me there were 5 rounds, but I only cleared 3. The first HR round was about 45 minutes, and a week later, I had an interview with the Hiring Manager.
- Can you tell me your reasons for looking for a new opportunity?
- Please describe your roles and responsibilities from your previous or current position.
Human Resources
Communication was bad and they acted unprofessionally. They kept scheduling and then cancelling interviews without telling me or explaining why. It felt really disorganized and not convincing, like they didn't have basic professionalism or respect.
- They asked me to submit an Assignment
Graduate Gemologist
The interview process was a really great experience. The questions were thoughtful and everyone was professional. I had several interviews with different people, and they were all nice and respectful. Overall, it felt very professional. I'd definitely recommend it.
- Can you answer gemological questions related to day-to-day job duties?

I had a really great interview experience with Miss. Kate McFarland. She didn't ask me the usual questions we're all prepped to answer. Instead, she asked questions that helped her get to know me better as a person and also my real-life academic and work experience. It was the first time that had ever happened to me, and I thought it was such an amazing approach!
- Can you tell me about your academic and work history?
- What relevant academic and work experience do you have?
