First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at RapidDeploy.
Data Analyst
The interview process started with an initial screening call, followed by an HR fit test call and then a technical interview. The overall experience was decent, but during the technical interview, they asked about processes and technologies that weren't even mentioned in the job description. HR was mostly communicative at first, but then after the last call, they went completely silent for weeks. It seemed like each interviewer had a different understanding of the job responsibilities, making the whole thing feel disorganized and confusing. I ended up feeling let down, but I guess I dodged a bullet.
- Could you describe your approach to data analysis?
Devops Engineer
First, there's usually a chat with a recruiter or hiring manager to go over your background, what you've done, and why you're interested in this job. They're trying to see if you get DevOps and if you'd fit in. Then, if that goes well, you'll have a technical interview with some team leads or senior engineers. They'll test your technical chops and how you solve problems. Expect to talk about your experience with things like CI/CD, containerization, and automating infrastructure. For instance, they might ask you to walk them through how you've set up CI/CD pipelines before.
- What's your background with containerization technologies?
- Can you share your experience working with Microsoft Azure?
- Could you detail how you've set up CI/CD pipelines in past jobs?
Software Engineer
First, you'll have some extensive chats with the recruitment manager. If you get past that, you'll move on to a chat with the team leader and manager of your team to check out your technical ability. Then, there's a chat with the Engineering Manager to see if you'll be a culture fit and if RapidDeploy will give you what you're looking for.
- In five years, where do you see yourself?
Product Manager
It started with a recruiter call, then after some Q&A, they wanted to move forward. Then there were about 4 more team meetings, lots of emails, and then an offer. This all happened in about 3-4 weeks.
- What are your expectations for a PM position?
