First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Rapid Micro Biosystems.
Sales Operations
It started with an initial screening, then a meeting with the hiring manager. After that, I met with 3 key stakeholders who work closely with the role. The whole thing took about 5 weeks and was all done virtually, no in-person interviews. There were 3 rounds in total.
- What are your expectations regarding working style?
- How do you see yourself fitting into the organization's culture?
- Can you speak to your actual competence for this role?
Digital Marketing Specialist
The interview started okay with HR, who was nice and professional. But the next round with the Senior Marketing Specialist wasn't really structured. They just read questions from a list, took notes, and asked me for advice on their own vague 'community work' strategy instead of seeing if I was a good fit. When I asked about what other people in this job had done, they got quiet and looked lost. They kept their body half-turned away, didn't make much eye contact, and had a judgmental vibe, making it a waste of time.
- Could you share your professional background and experience with LinkedIn ads, along with a recommended strategy for our company?
- When did the most recent Google update occur, and what impact do you believe it had on our website?
- What is your opinion on our current approach of using a carousel strategy on LinkedIn?
Field Service Engineer
The interview process included an initial HR pre-screen, followed by a phone call with the hiring manager. Then, there was a virtual interview with the department director. The final round was an in-person meeting with both the hiring manager and the director, where they reviewed my professional history, confirmed technical competency, and assessed inter-personal and administrative competency.
- Can you tell me about your customer service philosophy?
- Could you describe the technical and troubleshooting parts of your experience?
Manufacturing Engineer
I applied online. Then I had a phone call with HR, followed by a phone call with the potential manager. After that, I came in for in-person interviews, which involved a panel of people I'd be working with or under. I also got a tour of the lab and more details about the job. Overall, it was a great process and the people were wonderful.
- Can you walk me through your resume?
