Customer Service Representative
We chatted about my background and experience, and what they were hoping to find in a candidate. The whole process felt really good. They wanted to confirm I understood the job and what the daily tasks would involve.
- Can you tell me what you know about our company at this point?
Product Manager
The process was fast and focused. They gave an honest company description. The HR and R&D people were very nice. The HR interview was standard, covering company description, role expectations, and salary expectations. The VP R&D interview (since they don't have a VP Product) was technical, involving a system definition exercise and detailed role expectations.
- Can you describe what an ecommerce search engine is?
Human Resources Coordinator
The interviewers didn't seem to have much recruiting experience for this role, but it wasn't terrible. I had a panel interview where they asked about my experience. Then, the main interviewer suddenly announced they had another meeting and had to leave, which was surprising as there was no prior warning. I was left with the assistant interviewer, who had mentioned during the phone screen that she had limited recruitment experience. She then told me I would have 3 skills tests, which was also not mentioned beforehand. After completing the tests, they said they would be in touch. It wasn't the best experience; they should have informed me about the main interviewer leaving early and about the skills tests.
- The questions asked were all pretty standard, nothing too surprising.
Graphic Designer
We'll start with a 20-minute prescreening where we'll tell you about SD Solutions and the role, and you'll tell us about yourself so we can gauge your English and soft skills. Then, there's a design task, followed by an interview with the Hiring Manager. After that, it's the final decision and onboarding, and finally, a reference check.
