I had 3 interviews that were each an hour long. First, a get-to-know-you with the hiring manager. Then a tech interview with the hiring manager and another devsecops engineer. After that, a live troubleshooting test with the hiring manager and a soft skills interview with the CTO. The CTO disqualified me because they "felt" I wouldn't stay with the business long-term.

The process started with an initial call with the director of product. They then gave me a take-home assignment that involved creating a go-to-market strategy for expanding their marketplace into Europe. I spent about 5 hours on this assignment. I really don't recommend doing their take-home assignments because the director stressed multiple times that it wasn't for free labor, and after I submitted my work, they never responded to my emails. I suggest either refusing to do the take-home or avoiding interviewing with this company altogether.

I had about 3 interviews with the main department, then I was invited to a final panel interview. To prepare for the panel, I had to create a project plan, which took me around 7-8 hours to research. I actually learned a lot and found it interesting. The plan would have been super helpful for whoever got the job. Even though I didn't get an offer because I lacked some direct experience, which I was upfront about from the start, they then recommended me to an internal team member for a different role. I interviewed for that position too, but after that, I heard nothing back, even after I followed up. The manager only replied when I pointed out how unprofessional it was to not let candidates know when a role is filled, especially after so many interviews. I'd invested a lot of time with RangeMe, and a simple email would have been appreciated.

It was a straightforward phone interview where they asked about my past experience, my career goals, and they gave me an overview of the company. The interviewer was really friendly and professional, and they did a great job explaining the role and answering all my questions thoroughly. I decided to withdraw my application, but overall it was a good experience.
