Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Randstad.
Staffing Manager
It was a long interview process but overall a good experience. After an internal recruiter interview and a branch manager interview, I did some job shadowing. Sometimes hiring freezes can affect open positions. The interviews weren't difficult; the questions were very personable and general behavioral and situational questions. It was one of the best interview experiences I’ve had.
- Can you share an instance where you had to handle client objections to secure their business?
IT Recruiter
The recruiter was very welcoming, humanized, organized, and transparent. The conversation was really nice. We didn't move forward because it didn't make sense, but I kept the contact for a future opportunity, maybe. She explained the stages and clients well.
- Could you describe your previous responsibilities?
- Which tools did you use in your previous role?
- Tell me about significant moments in your career.
Recruiter
I had a 40-minute chat with one of the company’s recruiters, where they told me my profile would be shared with specific contacts and that I’d hear back. Despite multiple follow-ups, I received no response. Being ghosted after such an in-depth and promising discussion is extremely disappointing. The way candidates are treated leaves a lasting impression. Unfortunately, this experience left me with a negative view of the company’s recruitment practices.
- What are your career aspirations?
