First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Randall Reilly.
Content Manager
So, the interview process involved two main rounds of interviews, plus an editing quiz, all on the same day. After that, I had to write a sample article to show I could match their writing style. I was given about a week to submit it.
- Can you describe your experience with writing?
- What is your professional background?
Event Coordinator
I sat at a table with three people across from me. They had their computers open and were looking at things and taking notes. They were VERY friendly and awesome people. We talked for about an hour and a half, then I moved to another room to talk to the VP for another hour. It was a very long and intensive process. The people were nice, but it was long and intense. It really makes you think.
- What is your main reason for working?
- Can you describe yourself and your current role?
- Tell me about a time you had to deliver bad news to someone.
Software Engineer Lead
I went through interviews at Randall-Reilly. It started with a recruiter screen, then 3 engineering managers asked me about my experience. After that, I had a technical interview with devs where they asked some typical technical questions. The last interview was with a project manager and product manager where they asked behavioral questions. I felt good about it but they said they were 'reevaluating the position', so it was a waste of time.
- Can you explain the four pillars of Object-Oriented Programming?
Web Developer
I applied via email and had an initial interview. The interview was with the Lead Developer and his manager. I also spoke with HR. A few days later, I was invited for a second interview. They canceled it before it happened, saying it wasn't about me. I didn't hear anything for a couple of weeks. Then I got a call saying to expect an offer letter that week. When it didn't come, I followed up and was told my salary expectations were too high, so they decided not to make an offer!
