It was hard to reach them, and after my interview, I didn't get any follow-up emails or calls. I even called and left a voicemail. It's been a month, and I haven't heard anything, not even a rejection.

So for this role, I had to do an audition class to show what I got. I taught the fitness manager and some guests too. It was a good vibe, you know, really comfortable and positive. They also kept in touch well and responded quickly.

I went to their open interviews and had to wait in line to be seen briefly. They said I'd hear back in 48 hours about a second interview, but I never did. Instead, I got a letter saying I wasn't the ideal candidate, which felt like a rude way to reject me. I would have rather they said something like, “We have hired someone with a better fit.”

I applied online and a few days later, I got an email to interview. The interview with the two accounting employees was very short, only 5 minutes. They were not making eye contact and seemed to be reading generic questions from a script, which were already on my job application from their website. They did not seem engaged and looked like they wanted to rush through interviews to get to someone else (like a referral) they already had in mind. They sent me to interview with HR just 5 minutes after their rushed interview. The HR director was nice and promised to call me for a second interview with a set date and time later that week, but she never did. I had a feeling that this company had a referral candidate already in mind but still had to complete a certain number of interviews for HR compliance.
