The interview process started with a CodeSignal assessment where I got a perfect and proctored score. Then, there was a HireFlix assessment, which involved behavioral questions similar to HireVue. The first phone screen went okay, but I didn't fully complete the second part. Because of that, they scheduled a second phone screen for me, and they removed one of the final interviews since this second phone screen would count towards it. I did really well on this second phone screen. The final round consisted of a live AI interview and a behavioral interview. I was rejected shortly after completing all the rounds. The feedback indicated areas for improvement. The questions were fair, but the interview process is difficult due to the minimal room for error, requiring excellence in all technical aspects.

I had a technical phone screen scheduled. I prepared using Glassdoor and found a common question. I'd seen something similar recently, so I solved it quickly. The interviewer then gave me a harder 'bonus' problem that involved more HTTP calls and edge cases. I ran out of time while working on an edge case for the bonus problem. The next day, I got a rejection without any explanation. It's strange to be rejected after preparing well and doing well on a question, then being given a 'bonus' problem and rejected. I would have understood a rejection if I performed poorly, but this felt like an accusation of cheating, which says more about the interviewer than the company.

The interviews were pretty enjoyable. They focused on practical coding, and the people I spoke with were really fun and passionate. The coding bar is high; I heard a lot of people didn't make it even if they finished all the problems. To get ready, make sure you've got all your basic coding concepts down because they test practical stuff a lot. Also, you gotta code fast and with minimal errors.
