First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Ramada.
Accounting Intern
It was pretty specific regarding the position, and mostly behavioral questions related. They would like to see who you are and what can you bring in. The interviewer was good in nature and overall the interview process was smooth. Be sure to be on time.
- Tell me about a situation where you had to overcome a difficult problem.
Java Developer
The interview process was smooth and well-structured. The GD went well — I was able to express my thoughts clearly and contribute meaningfully. The technical assessment focused on fundamental computer science concepts and pseudocode, which I found quite manageable and straightforward. What Went Well: Confident participation in GD with clear articulation. Strong understanding of core CS topics in the assessment (e.g., logic building, basic algorithms, pseudocode). Time management during the assessment was effective. What Could Improve (for future rounds or interviews): Preparing for slightly more advanced topics like data structures and object-oriented programming in case they come up. Practicing writing optimized pseudocode quickly and clearly.
- Could you provide pseudocode to determine if a number is prime?
Housekeeper
I got a voicemail from Ramada asking me to come in for an interview. I called back and scheduled it for 1:00 pm the next day. I got there 10 minutes early and told the receptionist I was there for the interview, but neither the Head Housekeeper nor the Manager remembered calling me. I told them the time and number the call came from, and they were still surprised. I asked if they were hiring for housekeeping, and the Manager said yes, they had just posted it online. I mentioned I applied online 3 hours ago on Kijiji. They hadn't received my resume. The Manager told the Head Housekeeper to go ahead and ask me some questions since I was there, apologized for the mix-up, and asked me to resend my resume. I'm still waiting to hear back.
- How long have you worked in housekeeping?
- What's your availability?
Front Desk Agent
The interview process felt unprofessional. I got the job offer in less than a week. The interviewer was dressed casually in jeans and a t-shirt. She didn't seem very interested in asking me questions to see if I was a good fit. She asked basic stuff about why I left my previous job, what I liked and didn't like about it, what my duties were, and my availability.
- Could you tell me why you departed from your previous employment?
- What aspects of your last position did you find enjoyable?
- Were there any aspects of your last position that you disliked?
