So I had this initial chat with HR first. Then I did a technical test about testing stuff and finding bugs. After that, I had to do a practical QA thing where I made test cases for an app they gave me. The last part was like a panel talk with the QA manager and some senior people where we talked about how I do quality assurance and my past testing work.

The 1st round of interview went very well for about half an hour. There were a lot of technical discussions, and the interviewer seemed very happy with my performance, indicating I would proceed to the 2nd round. The 2nd Round interview also lasted about half an hour. However, the interviewer, Vasishta, lacked maturity and IT culture, and didn't know how to conduct an interview properly. I've never encountered someone like that before. I previously had a very good impression of Rakuten, and I'm surprised management allows such people to conduct interviews. He was technically inept and attempted to twist my answers.

I applied on indeed.com and got an email from Ebates. The process was simple: first, an email with basic screening questions. Then, a technical assignment. After submitting that and it being accepted, I had a technical phone screen for about 45 minutes. After that, I went on-site for three one-hour interviews: a soft skills one with management, a technical one with the QA team, and another technical one with a developer. Overall, the interview process was pretty smooth and straightforward, though the three hours of interviews felt a bit long.
