Account Manager
Got a message from HR on LinkedIn about an interview. Had an interview with HR to talk about the job and its duties. 7 days later, had an online interview with the manager. They asked specific questions about the company, its business model, and how it differs from competitors like Fnac and Amazon. The interview was generally very tough with many tricky questions. Knowing I probably wouldn't get the job, the manager gave me advice on my CV and suggested areas for improvement.
- What are the differences between Amazon, Fnac, and Rakuten?
Account Manager
Had 3 interviews in total. First was a phone interview with a recruiter. Then I had an on-site with four account managers. Finally, a phone interview with their VP of client services. They were pretty chill interviews but you really gotta know your stuff for the on-site. They asked a lot about my daily tasks and how I deal with specific scenarios. It was half about if you can do the job and half about fitting the culture, which I totally fell in love with. You can just tell by how they interact it's a great place to work. The last interview was mostly to see how driven you are and if you vibe with the team.
- What do you like about this industry?
- What experience do you have working with clients in e-commerce?
- Describe your typical daily tasks.
Account Manager
I was first contacted by a recruiter, who was very helpful in my preparation. The entire interview process was remote. It was interesting that the interviewers were in different office locations. There were two rounds of interviews. The final round consisted of two 30-minute panel interviews. I found out about three weeks later that I wasn't selected.
- What motivates you to seek employment with this company?
