The interview involved a few parts. First, an HR chat. Then, a technical interview about project management basics, how to solve problems, and some technical stuff. Last, they asked behavioral questions about past projects, working with others, and dealing with tight deadlines.

The Thermax interview process is pretty multi-stage, aiming to see if you're good technically and if you'll fit in. It can change a bit depending on the job and where you are, but usually, it goes like this: First, you apply, maybe through campus recruitment, online, or if someone refers you. Then, if you make the cut, you do an online test with sections on aptitude (like math and logic), your technical knowledge for the role, and English skills. For example, they might throw 25 questions at you for Quantitative Aptitude, 35 for Logical Reasoning, 26 technical ones, and 25 for Verbal, all in 120 minutes. After that, there's a Group Discussion (GD) to check how you communicate, work in a team, and solve problems, with topics that could be anything from current events to weird abstract stuff. Some roles also have an essay writing part to see how clearly you can write. Next up is a Technical Interview, all about your specific field knowledge. They might ask you about thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, or whatever's relevant. Like, they could ask about boiler types or the difference between RO and ultrafiltration. The last step is the HR Interview, where they want to see if you're a good culture fit, what your career goals are, and how you interact with people. They might ask about your future plans, why Thermax, and if you can adapt to different work situations. Basically, Thermax cares about your technical smarts and if you vibe with their values. Make sure you really know your stuff and can talk about your past projects and internships. Just a heads-up, this might differ for specific jobs or locations, so it's always best to double-check with Thermax or reliable sources.

Confirmed questions1 question
  • Why Thermax for your career?

The interview process consists of an online test and interviews. If you pass the first two stages, a third interview is scheduled. It's possible there will be more interviews after the initial ones with employees, managers, hiring committees, and other staff. This stage can be high-pressure as the hiring manager and possibly a high-level executive will ask questions to assess your qualifications for the role.

  • Can you introduce yourself and tell us about the languages you know?
