After applying online, I was contacted by someone from Talent Management to schedule an initial phone call. It was the usual rundown of the role to make sure it matched my experience and what I was looking for. I liked that we could talk openly about salary expectations from the start, so there wouldn't be any surprises later. The talent management person I spoke with was super communicative, helpful, and upfront. I had one 1x1 interview with a VP and one 2x1 interview with Directors from the Analytics team. Everyone was engaged, honest, and sharp. They asked good questions to dig into my experience and skills, but also made me feel like I was part of a conversation. I could naturally share my strengths, learn about the job and the company culture, and I actually had fun. There wasn't any intense technical questioning, as my technical skills were shown through the examples I gave in my answers. I'd say the interviews were 'difficult' because you need a solid level of technical marketing measurement data expertise to keep up and impress. I didn't get selected to move forward. (The next step would have been a take-home case study and presentation to see how I work with and communicate data.) I got a call from the talent management contact to let me know. I was surprised she took the time to tell me personally and give me honest, helpful feedback on why I wasn't selected. That really impressed me! Instead of a generic rejection email, I got a personal call with positive feedback, constructive criticism, and advice. A class act! Overall, it was a really positive interview experience at every stage. The process was fast, with about 1-2 calls each week, depending on schedules. Communication was prompt, organized, and friendly. Even though I didn't get an offer, the interview process made me feel even more positive about Rain, so it's still one of my 'dream' agencies I'll keep an eye on for future openings. You can really tell a company's and team's culture from how they interview, and my experience was incredibly positive.

The interview process started with a 30-minute call with a recruiter to go over my resume and the job description. After that, I had a 30-minute interview with the hiring manager. Then there was a four-week period where they said they were having internal discussions and would update me on the next steps. Eventually, the recruiter told me the salary for the position had been reduced by $40K, and at that point, I decided to withdraw my application.

I applied on October 28, and a recruiter contacted me on December 18 to set up a phone screening. After that, I went through 3 more interview rounds and talked to 4 employees. After more than a month of interviews, I was told I didn't get the job. I asked for feedback by phone and email but never heard back. It's frustrating to go through a long interview process and then get ghosted. The hiring manager's interview was the most structured, but the others weren't. One interview had 3 team members on the call, and their questions were disorganized, focusing only on teamwork and not my actual skills. They didn't give me much chance to ask questions, and it seemed like they were new to interviewing. A red flag is that most people I spoke with were new hires, with only 2 having been there over 2 years, suggesting high turnover.

I was contacted by the recruiter in HR for a phone interview. Four interviews followed. First, I had a phone interview with the HR recruiter. Then, I had a phone interview with the head of Account Management. After that, I had an in-person interview with that same head of Account Management. Finally, I had an in-person interview with an Account Supervisor. I was surprised by the number of interviews for an entry-level position. I received an offer from the HR recruiter shortly after my final interview. I didn't feel as though I was given the opportunity to negotiate, and I should have. Overall, the hiring and interview process was a positive one, albeit long. Although they expected professionalism, the people were friendly and conversational. I could also tell that they expected a lot of enthusiasm out of the interviewees.
