Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at RadioShack.
Sales Representative
You get placed into a pool of candidates and hope the store manager notices your resume. If they reach out via call or email, be ready for the typical retail job interview questions. After your first interview with the store manager, you'll usually interview with either the district manager or another store manager in the district. Then you're on your way to hopefully getting hired.
- Can you work weekends?
- Do you have prior customer service experience?
- Sell me something
Sales Representative
The person who interviewed me seemed a bit grumpy and asked basic questions about my past work experience and my interest in RadioShack. He would make sarcastic remarks if he didn't like my answers. I didn't think much of him, honestly. He came off as condescending and seemed like he was only there because he had to be.
- What makes you more qualified than the other candidates?
Sales Representative
I applied on the company's website and heard back in a few days. I then met with the district manager at a set location. They said they'd call if they wanted to hire me. The interview was about 15-25 minutes, and I had to wait a bit before it started.
- Could you try to sell me something?
- Let's do a role-play where you sell me a mobile phone.
