So I started with a call with the HR Manager, then I had a Systems Engineering Test. After the test, the Hiring Manager wanted to chat and we had a good long conversation. That was followed by an in-person interview at their Ramsey, NJ office. I felt pretty good about the final interview. Actually, the HR manager called me before the final interview to check if the commute was okay and if I was good with the salary package. They even asked if I'd consider relocating to Chicago for an opening there. The day after the in-person interview, I got an email from the HR manager saying they were looking for folks with more specific experience in their field. I was shocked and thought they should have mentioned that upfront to save me time.

The interview process was straightforward, involving a video conference, an online exam, and a teleconference. The HR team was very responsive and professional. This was the only interview I had that required an exam, which was tough, but they are aware of that. They're looking for candidates who can learn extremely quickly. Strong knowledge of the IT world is important, but the subject matter is highly specific and difficult to prepare for extensively. This is why the ability to learn is so crucial.

I first emailed HR and then had a Skype call. HR communication was really bad, they took ages to respond to emails. After the HR call, she said she'd set up a call with the VP, but again, no response for days. Then HR sent an online questionnaire with Java and SQL questions. Finally, I spoke with the VP who asked about my projects and experience. Again, HR was unresponsive for days, and after I followed up, they sent a rejection email. Honestly, it was one of the worst interview processes ever. It's also not consistent for everyone, as I found out from friends. I wouldn't recommend this company.

A recruiter reached out to me on LinkedIn, submitted my resume, and set up an interview. It was a 30-minute video call with HR. The conversation was pretty nice, but the questions felt really standard. Also, when I asked about team structure and stuff, the answers were kind of unclear. I didn't advance to the next stage.
