The hiring process had two main parts. First, I had a phone chat with a recruiter to go over my background and see if I'd be a good fit. Then, there was a Google Meet interview that was kind of group-like. The first half hour was with two people from the department, and the second half was with the department manager. It was pretty relaxed. I felt like all my questions got answered, and they were really open and clear about the job description and what they expected. Super refreshing!

The recruitment process was pretty good overall. I liked the recruiter, manager, and everyone else involved. It started with a phone interview where they asked basic questions about me and my experience. Then, there was an on-site interview that included a technical test. I felt comfortable and welcomed there too. I got an offer at the end. We liked each other, but the only hiccup was that I wasn't ready to start immediately, and the manager stressed the need for a quick start. Since I was on maternity leave, starting right away was tough to imagine. However, I really wanted the job, so I rearranged my and my partner’s schedules. After I said I'd love to join, the manager told me to wait for HR to send a contract. But then, the recruiter contacted me saying the company's business plans had changed and I wasn't approved anymore. It was really disappointing. The company's communication is quite bad and needs improvement. People take these things seriously and adjust their lives to join a company, so this was unfortunate.
