You'll meet with several groups of people, including employees and managers. The whole interview might take anywhere from 1 to 4 hours. If it's longer, that's probably a good sign because they're still interested. You don't have to wear a suit, but business casual like nice jeans and a button-up shirt is fine.

Applied online and got an email a couple days later. The process was: 1. Video Interview 2. Phone screen 3. Interview at Rackspace 4. Offered Job. The interview itself took about 3 hours. It had two parts. Each part had 3 interviewers, then they swapped. (Total of 6 people, but actually 5, as one from the first part stayed for the second). The first part was straightforward, customer service focused, asking how I'd handle situations and personality questions. The second part was the technical interview, which was tough. I said 'I don't know' or 'I'm not certain' for most of the technical questions, though some were easy. I got the offer call 2 days after the interview. The interviewers were really nice and welcoming. There was some lateness: the first interviewer was 15 mins late, the second 30 mins late, and the third 45 mins late. Besides that, the process was pretty smooth. For this role, they seem to value the person more than the knowledge; it's fine if you don't know everything as long as you're willing and teachable.

Then, they mentioned a more entry-level gig in their data centre that I might like. I said I was interested, and they asked if I could do a technical phone assessment right then, and I was like, 'Sure!' That call had a bunch of questions about Windows, Linux, hardware troubleshooting, and networking. I passed it and they invited me for an interview the next week. For prep, I checked out the Rackspace Careers site to learn more about the company, its history, what they offer, and their values. Their website had loads of info, including videos, which was pretty cool. The actual interview had one person, and they were super chill, honest, and easy to talk to. They even offered me a drink before we started. It was really relaxed, not like my past interviews at all. They asked me about my background, what I'm into now, and where I want to go. Then came the technical stuff and questions about how I'd handle certain situations. It felt like a really balanced interview; they seemed genuinely interested in me as a person, not just my tech skills. They showed me around the data centre and asked if I had any thoughts on making it better. The whole experience was awesome; I'd never felt so welcomed at an interview before, and they really cared about who I was, not just my grades. They gave me a lot of good feedback too, which was great.
