I applied for the job and got an email two days later about a phone interview. The interview happened, but the interviewers sounded annoyed and uninterested. They asked me about 5 questions, which I tried my best to answer. The interview was very short, only 8 minutes. I was told they would contact me, but I saw online five minutes after that I was not selected. I think Rackspace should be more supportive during interviews, because this experience was not that.

- The questions asked were not difficult or surprising; it seemed like they were following a standard script. They basically decided I wasn't a fit from the start when I mentioned my lack of experience in the field, but they had to go through the motions.

Got referred internally and a week later I got contacted for a phone screen. Two days after that I had my phone screen which included the standard questions like, "what is your weakness, what do you know about the position you applied for, what do you know about Rackspace, why do you want to work at Rackspace. A week after the phone screen I was contacted to set up the in person interview. I had two half hour interviews with a two person panel in each interview. The process was very professional. I was asked to go over my duties at my previous job, what I knew about Rackspace, what my former co-workers would say my strengths and weaknesses are, a time I dealt with an irate customer and how I handled the situation, and what fanatical support means to me.

The interview process was great and flowed really well. It took about a week from when my resume was first picked up (by a recruitment consultant) until the company HR extended an offer. The HR person was really nice and supportive, which is something you don't see too often.
