First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Race Forward.
Director
It was a long process with many people involved. The timeline kept changing, with a lot of delays and then a rush to hire at the end. I wasn't sure about the exact expectations for the role.
- What is your vision for this work?
Human Resources Administrator
The recruitment process started with a phone screening. The recruiter scheduled an interview time but then changed it. Although I was flexible and adjusted, he didn't show up for the scheduled phone screen. I had to remind him about our interview, and he said he didn't remember. He apologized, but when he eventually called for the phone screen, it was 20 minutes late, and he rushed through it. I haven't heard back about the next steps or my candidacy since the screening.
- Can you briefly describe your HR experience?
Intern
We had an initial zoom interview with the legal consultant, and then a second zoom interview with both the legal consultant and the general counsel. Each lasted 30 minutes max.
- Are you interested in in-house transactional work?
Coordinator
I had an initial phone screen that lasted around 20 minutes, then a second round with my director supervisor and a project team member, and then a final interview with my director supervisor and the senior vice-president of programs.
