First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Raba Kistner.
Administrative Coordinator
I had a phone interview where they asked general questions about my background. After that, I was invited for an in-person interview with the Business Manager and VP. They were both very nice. During this second interview, they asked me scenario-based questions and wanted to know more about my experience with administrative duties.
- What's your strategy for managing numerous urgent tasks assigned by different individuals simultaneously?
Marketing Coordinator
I applied online and got a quick response from the recruiter who scheduled an in-person interview with my current boss. It went great! About two weeks later, I had a second interview with a panel of three people, including my boss again. Both times were really positive and they asked a lot of questions to make sure I was a good fit and had the right attitude for learning and coming up with new ideas to help the department and the company. They really cared about how I've worked with different kinds of people on various projects.
- Can you share an example of a time you went above and beyond what was expected by your colleagues and supervisors on a project?
Environmental Scientist
The interview itself was nice, very conversational and the hiring manager was friendly. My issue is the lack of communication/updates regarding a decision. I interviewed in early July, and was told they would have a decision in a couple of weeks. I followed up after not hearing anything for three weeks and was told they were still making decisions. Now, at over two months since my interview I receive an automated rejection email. I find this incredibly rude and impersonal given the lack of communication over the past two months.
- Could you tell me about your previous job?
Intern
I met someone in upper management at a conference and then followed up with them multiple times. This eventually led to a phone interview. I had to follow up for about 2-3 months after that before they made an offer.
- Can you tell me about your school experiences?
- What skills can you bring to our company?
