Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at R1 RCM.
Medical Coder
The interview experience was great and very interactive. They asked logical and process-related questions. It was a great overall experience. I really appreciate my interviewer Sai for conducting the best interview ever. Thank you.
- Can you describe some denial reasons?
- What about the appeal process?
- And claim forms?
Medical Coder
It was a short but good interview process where important topics were covered. All interviewers and HR provided fast feedback. The interview depended purely on knowledge and skillset, so the overlap felt good. There were three rounds in total, with the first level being average and the second level being a bit tough.
No confirmed questions were included in this interview report.
Medical Coder
I was initially contacted about a coding role and completed a coding exam, which I passed. They said they'd be in touch for an interview, but I didn't hear back for over a week, so I had to reach out. Then they informed me they'd already filled the position. About two months later, they reached out again for the same role and set up an interview. They acknowledged my experience wasn't ideal but noted my knowledge from passing the recent exam. The interview was with two managers; one seemed quite put out. I haven't heard anything back since, not even a rejection.
- Could you describe your medical coding experience and any specific specialties you've coded?
