Lead Data Engineer
I went through a couple of interview rounds, but the process felt a bit unconventional. It seemed like the role was heavily dependent on fitting the manager's personal preferences and cultural alignment rather than prioritizing technical expertise. Before I even finalized the interviews, there was a lot of pressure to disclose my other job offers, even though I expressed my interest clearly. It felt like they were looking for someone desperate for the job, not just someone very interested, which most top engineers aren't. It was a strange approach. Ultimately, after I traveled for the interview, it was canceled the night before with minimal explanation. I was informed the role was filled, but I suspect it was a combination of me standing firm on my other offers and possibly some visa complications. This experience served as a good reminder to avoid companies with very low culture ratings.

Content Manager
Got contacted by a recruiter really fast, like in under 5 days. The recruiter not only interviewed me but also gave me some cool tips for future interviews here. Then, less than a week after that, I chatted with the head of my team. We talked about typical work stuff and also just got to know each other. A week after that, I spoke with the Director of Marketing, which was more about seeing if we clicked than asking the same questions again. So yeah, hired within 3 weeks of applying.

Business Development Manager
My interview process started with a call with sales, which went pretty well. The next step was a meeting with the CMO over Zoom, but they were late and seemed rushed and distracted, constantly looking away. What should have been an interview felt more like an interrogation and it ended really fast. It was one of the worst interview experiences I've ever had.
- How did you do with your previous quotas?
- What have you done regarding quotas?
- Tell me about your quota achievement.
Director of Operations
I was referred by a former colleague and had a good initial chat with the hiring manager. They said I'd hear back about next steps within a week. It's now been 9 weeks, and despite sending 4 emails, I haven't heard anything back. It seems like I dodged a bullet if this is how they treat potential hires. I don't mind being told I'm not a fit, but being left hanging and ignored for this long makes me understand why their company reviews are so bad.
- Can you describe your previous work experience and how it applies to this position?
