The manager wanted to know about my sales background, specifically if I had worked in furniture showrooms before. They asked for stories about customers I'd sold to and how I generally approach sales. I was also asked about dealing with disagreements with coworkers on the sales floor.

You walk into the store and go to the back where the cashiers are. Head to customer service and ask for an application. Make sure to be clean and neat since everyone will see you ask for an application. That's the first screening, especially when you turn it back in. If they're hiring, they'll call you 1-5 days later (they keep the application for 3 months). You'll usually get a phone interview first, typically by HR. If they like what they hear, they'll call you for a second interview at the store with the Office Supervisor/Managers. If they don't like your application, you'll get a letter in the mail in about 2-3 weeks. The next call will be to come to HR for an honesty test and a drug test (they do call old jobs and some references). There are a lot of girls and women working in the office. Sometimes the store Manager might interview you too, and she looks for nice, creative, strong people for the office with NO DRAMA. Open availability will get you hired quickly!

I applied on indeed. About a month after applying, I got a call for an interview. This company actually calls your references, which is uncommon. Both managers were really nice during the interview. They asked basic questions. A week or two after the interview, they called me with an offer.

So I had a phone screening with the manager first. Then, pretty quickly, they set up an in-person interview with the whole team where they asked about my experience and gave me a logic test. After that, nothing. They totally ghosted me, and even when I followed up for an update, I got no response. A month later, the same job was posted again. Total waste of my time.
