First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Quorum Federal Credit Union.
Vendor Management Associate
The phone call was unorganized and the recruiter called me an hour before my interview so I was not prepared, I was running an errand. I tried to run with it but she wanted to reschedule, I think it was a mess. She did mention that this was not an interview!
- What is your salary expectation?
Director
First I had a prescreen with HR and then I had to complete a Behavioral Assessment. Then I met with the hiring manager. This whole part took about three weeks. After that, I met with another executive leader and then with the CFO. That took another two weeks. The final step was supposed to be presenting two candidates to the CEO for him to pick from. But HR told me they were going to interview more people based on the CFO's feedback. I didn't get the job, which I'm actually glad about. It seems like a very micromanaged place if the CFO and CEO are making all the hiring decisions and they don't give teams much autonomy. My guess is they want people who will just agree with everything and fit into their command structure. If you're a leader who wants to make a real difference, this probably isn't the place for you.
- Can you describe your management style?
- What attracts you to this role and company?
- What accomplishment are you most proud of?
Mortgage Underwriter
You will have a conference call with two people, one man and one woman. The man led the questioning. They use Encompass Software, so be sure to mention your experience with it (they have been using it since 2019).
- Regarding daily underwriting volume, they mentioned 10-15 files. For a Level 2 underwriter, what criterias do you focus on for a tax sheet?
- Can you tell me about your experience appraising homes?
- What's your understanding of Fannie Mae's guidelines for wantable versus unwantable condominiums?
Mortgage Underwriter
The office was a really nice, modern, open space. I spoke with 3 people, and the conversation felt really easy and comfortable. The questions they asked were fair and directly related to the job. I haven't received any updates yet.
- Can you tell me about your previous experience and how many loans you typically reviewed each day?
